WHAT IS YOUR JUNK FOOD WEAKNESS?
WHO IS YOUR “CELEBRITY CRUSH”?
Keith Urban. His love for his wife is the sweetest! He wrote “Making Memories of Us” for Nicole and sang it to her on their wedding day. Swoon-worthy.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM LUNCH DATE?
I would appreciate any lunch with my parents. Living 1000 miles away, I cherish every moment I get with them! Even better if we are by the ocean somewhere with live music.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?
I have my dream job; a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader! I also love working with children, so I’m thankful for what teaching has given me. Another dream job would be travel writing because I love exploring new places and writing has always been a passion of mine.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR?
Losing someone I love.
WHAT IS AN EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
In middle school, I cheered for our town’s youth football team. One particularly rainy game, I ended a cheer with an excellent, smack-your-face kind of high kick. The only problem was the ground was too slick from the rain and the momentum landed me right on my bottom. I had to cheer the rest of the game covered in mud.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)?
My sweet puppy Whiskey
WHO IS THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE?
My mother and father have both taught me so much about life and what is means to strive and reach your goals. I have learned selflessness and putting your family first from them. I am so blessed to have them as parents.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM VACATION DESTINATION?
I love the ocean and warm weather, so any exotic beach would be amazing to visit. My bucket list includes Bali, Bora Bora, and the Maldives!
IF YOU HAD TO PICK TWO CELEBRITIES TO BE YOUR PARENTS WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Faith Hill & Tim McGraw
LIST 5 WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU: Charismatic, Compassionate, Dedicated, Energetic, & Positive
WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
We grew up spending our summers in Maine. I love the ocean so much, I can run into freezing cold water, but only if there are waves. I think the adrenaline numbs you. My little brother and I would boogie board until our lips were blue.
DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES?
Kell-Bell, Kelli Q (for my middle name)
WHAT FAMOUS PERSON (DEAD OR ALIVE) WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH? WHY?
Reba McEntire or Carrie Underwood! They are both my idols who have stuck to their beliefs and “made it” being exactly who they are.
WHAT IS THE MOST EMBARRASING SONG ON YOUR IPOD RIGHT NOW?
Rarely embarrassed but I do have an awful lot of Michael Bolton songs on my ipod because my mom used to only listen to him in the car. I suppose it reminds me of my childhood, and I absolutely do not skip them when they come on.
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
Chocolate. Anything chocolate!
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR SUPER POWER?
FINISH THIS STATEMENT: I am most proud of….
my determination and work ethic. Both have helped me achieve my wildest dreams!
WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?
I started dancing at age 2 and have been in love with it ever since. I was a competitive dancer growing up, a dance major at Skidmore College in New York, and a former Texas Legends Dancer, Dallas Mavericks Dancer, and Allen American Ice Angel.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC?
DCC has always been my dream, and I moved to Texas to make that dream a reality!
IF YOU CAN SAY ANYTHING TO COWBOYS FANS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
This is our year!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC?
Absolutely believe in yourself, and then over-prepare! I love that quote, “Be so good they can’t ignore you” because that sums up the kind of preparation you need. Any dream is attainable if you’re willing to put in the work. Take as many dance classes as you can because as a DCC, you need to be able to pick up a lot of choreography- of varying styles- quickly! Pay close attention to the details, for example how the cheerleaders wear their hair and make-up, how each carries herself in interviews, and how knowledgeable the ladies are on the organization as well as world events. The DCC are known as well-rounded, talented women. You never know what you may be asked by a reporter, so studying up intellectually is just as important as dancing! Once you have prepared well, it will give you the confidence to come into auditions ready to shine! Trust yourself!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC?
Being A DCC is even better than I could have imagine, which is saying a lot! I love this organization, and if I had to pick a favorite part, it has to be getting to visit with the fans, especially the sweet little fans that come dressed up like DCC. It melts my heart and reminds me what an important role I hold wearing this uniform. I love the excitement at camps and getting to teach little kids our style. I remember how special I felt meeting and learning from my idols when I was a little girl, so I try to always impact their experiences the same way.
