The Dallas Cowboys and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ask fans and supporters to join the promise that launched the breast cancer movement through an effort known as "iPromise."

Inspired by their long-standing friendship with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Founder and CEO Nancy Brinker, Dallas Cowboys owners Gene and Jerry Jones created the "iPromise" partnership to honor the release of Brinker's 2010 book, Promise Me, and support fans and players who have been affected by breast cancer.

Endowed by a $1 million donation of marketable assets from the Jones Family and the Dallas Cowboys, the goal of the "iPromise" campaign is to raise awareness for breast cancer efforts through a variety of awareness campaign elements and a co-branded merchandise line now sold at Old Navy retailers nationwide, at Dallas Cowboys ProShops and online at www.dallascowboys.com. Susan G. Komen for the Cure® receives 10 percent of all "iPromise" merchandise sales across the nation.

The "iPromise" campaign is a call to action encouraging Cowboys fans and other alike to make personal promises and take action in support of the women – and men – in their lives who have been touched by breast cancer.

Fans visiting Cowboys Stadium during October – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – will see their favorite blue and silver adorned with a touch of pink at all home games. As part of the National Football League's national Breast Cancer Awareness effort, players have the opportunity to accent their uniforms with pink in any way possible, including gloves, shoes, sweatbands and even sweat towels.

Additionally, Brinker has served as the Honorary Captain for the Dallas Cowboys Breast Cancer Awareness game for the past two seasons. In 2010, she was joined in fulfilling that role by Charlyn Aikman – a breast cancer survivor and mother of Dallas Cowboys three-time Super Bowl winner and Hall of Fame player, Troy Aikman.

During the month of October, the Dallas Cowboys in-game presentation and halftime also receive a "pink" makeover to support the "iPromise" effort. Public service announcements and in-stadium videos air throughout the season featuring Dallas Cowboys Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones, players, coaches and others to stress the importance of early screening and mammograms.

The team also dedicates the halftime show of one October game as a celebration of breast cancer survival. Each year approximately 300 survivors and volunteers whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer join the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in presenting a unique halftime performance. The group forms a "human" pink awareness ribbon on field with their survival cheered on by more than 90,000 football fans at Cowboys Stadium.

Dallas Cowboys corporate partners also join in the action by sponsoring "pink" giveaways for fans during the game.
