IRVING, Texas - Cowboys rookie running back Marion Barber is up for two NFL weekly awards following his 127-yard rushing performance this past Sunday against Arizona.

Barber has been nominated for FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week and Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honors. In his first career NFL start, the fourth-round pick gained 127 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 34-13 victory over the Cardinals. He also caught two passes for 15 yards.

Other finalists for FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week include Chargers quarterback Drew Brees, Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme, Giants running back Tiki Barber and Rams running back Steven Jackson.

Finalists for Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week include Texans wide receiver Jerome Mathis, Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman, Steelers tight end Heath Miller and Bears quarterback Kyle Orton.

Fans can vote for both awards on NFL.com beginning Tuesday. Player of the Week voting ends Friday and Rookie of the Year voting ends Thursday.

Two Cowboys players have already won both awards this season.

Quarterback Drew Bledsoe won the quarterback portion of the Air & Ground award for his Week-One performance against the Chargers. He was also nominated for the award again after the 33-10 win over Philadelphia, when he passed for three first-half touchdowns.

In that same game, rookie running back Tyson Thompson relieved an injured Julius Jones and rushed for 75 yards in the second half, to win the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week award.

Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware was also nominated for the award after recording a sack against the Giants, to continue a four-game streak of registering at least one sack.
