| For the fourth year in a row, the Vikings and the Cowboys will meet in the final preseason game, where most of the starters pace the sidelines while roster hopefuls try to make one final push to make the team. But this year will be quite different if all the Brett Favre-Vikings rumblings turn out to be true. If Favre finds himself in a purple uniform come preseason, all of the attention will be on him for this game.

| 2009 Headliners: |
RB Adrian Peterson - Peterson is one of the few feature backs left in the NFL. When he's healthy, he's nearly unstoppable, and is again the favorite to lead the league in yards on the ground in only his third year. |
CB Antoine Winfield - With the defection of Darren Sharper to the Saints, Winfield is now the elder statesman in the Vikings secondary. Without Sharper, who had the fourth most tackles for Minnesota last year, teams will be able to throw away from Winfield's side of the field, possibly limiting his effectiveness. |
WR Percy Harvin - The Vikings top draft choice is considered to be their answer to the growing popularity of the Wildcat formation created by the Miami Dolphins last season. At the University of Florida, Harvin did a little bit of everything, and will continue in that vein as a Viking. |
