Claiborne's MRI Reveals No Major Structural Damage
OXNARD, Calif. – Cornerback Morris Claiborne is not expected to miss more than a few practices after a precautionary MRI on his knee revealed no major damage.
Claiborne sat out the majority of Friday’s practice and all of the team session with the minor knee tweak.
Head coach Jason Garrett and defensive backs coach Jerome Henderson said they didn’t think Claiborne was seriously injured, and he was taken out for precautionary reasons. Garrett said Claiborne’s knee first flared up Wednesday.
“He got treatment on it [Thursday],” Garrett said. “His knee flared up a little bit on him. He tried to go today in the early part of practice. We took him out of it.”
Claiborne stood on the sidelines Friday, walking with a slight limp while the team stretched before team drills.
“Our trainers really thought he had a little twinge there in his knee, and our trainers thought it would be best to give him the afternoon off,” said Jerry Jones. “We, at this time, aren’t concerned.”
