MRI On Bryant’s Foot Negative, Should Play Against Chiefs
IRVING, Texas – The MRI Dez Bryant underwent on his foot Monday came back negative.
The Cowboys’ top receiver suffered a mild foot sprain toward the tail end of Sunday’s win against the Giants, prompting the team to check for any serious damage. Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Monday he didn’t expect the injury was too serious, as Bryant returned to the game following the injury.
Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones confirmed as much Tuesday morning in a radio interview with 105.3 The Fan. Jones said Bryant will likely be limited during practice this week, but he expects the fourth-year wideout to play Sunday against Kansas City.
Bryant caught four passes for just 22 yards against New York, but the constant attention paid to him by the Giants’ secondary opened the field for a combined 18 catches for 142 yards between Miles Austin and Jason Witten.
