CowBuzz: Players Share Their Goodbyes To Free Agent LB Anthony Hitchens
Free agency has started for the NFL, with teams adding new faces to the roster and saying goodbye to others. Even though deals can’t be announced until the new league year begins Wednesday, March 14 at 3 p.m. CT, news has swirled around about many projected moves, including free agent linebacker Anthony Hitchens reportedly close to a multi-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs that could be worth $9 million annually. The Cowboys’ front office had expressed their desire to retain Hitchens, but in the end the deal was going to be too far out of their range.
His departure will be felt both on the field and off, the latter being proven with the large outpour of support and goodbye messages he received on social media from his former teammates.
