IRVING, Texas – With three offensive picks already in the barn, the Cowboys turned to defense by selecting Georgia Southern safety 
Dallas selected Wilcox (6-0, 213) with their second selection of Friday’s third round – just six picks after Baylor wide receiver
Safety was widely regarded as one of the Cowboys’ biggest needs heading into this draft, and Wilcox fit that need after a strong showing in 2012, in which he amassed 88 tackles as a 13 game starter for Georgia Southern.
Wilcox actually spent time at both wide receiver and running back before making the switch to defense prior to the 2012 season.
