IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys welcomed
DeMarco Murray
to practice on Wednesday, as they prepared for Sunday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Here are few notable observations from the media portion of practice.
-Murray was on the field in pads and a helmet after having missed the past six weeks due to a foot injury. He was seen before practice doing resistance training on the sideline, and he later joined the rest of the team as they stretched and began practice.
On Wednesday morning Jason Garrett said that he hoped Murray would be able to do more in practice and that they would continue to evaluate him as the week goes on. It’s unclear if he was a full participant in practice or if he was limited.
-Wide receiver
Miles Austin
took the field in pads and a helmet, but did not seem to be practicing with the team. When the team began practice, Austin was still doing light training on the sideline with a trainer. Austin aggravated his hip in the first series of the Washington game.
-Center
Ryan Cook
was practicing with the team on Wednesday, but his availability for Sunday’s game is still in question.
Phil Costa
was not in uniform as he continued to rehab his ankle. If neither center is available, then
Mackenzy Bernadeau
or
Kevin Kowalski
could start at center.
-
Jay Ratliff
was once again not at practice as he continues to nurse a groin injury. However,
Sean Lissemore
was in pads and a helmet and appeared to be practicing with the team after missing nearly six weeks with an ankle injury.
-
Tyron Smith
dressed out and appeared to be participating in normal practice after missing last game with an ankle injury.
-
Jason Hatcher
and
Kevin Ogletree
were also both on the field participating in practice after having passed concussion tests.
