IRVING, Texas – When
DeMarco Murray
missed Wednesday’s practice, he promised that it was simply precautionary and that he would be back out there the next day.
Murray stayed true to his word and was out on the field Thursday with the rest of the team for the portion of practice open to the media. He had 23 rushing attempts in Sunday night’s game and his absence from Wednesday’s practice was simply to ensure that his recently recovered foot received adequate rest.
-There was an optimistic feeling for the Cowboys when
Jay Ratliff
took the field on Wednesday with a helmet in hand. However, Ratliff didn’t actually participate in Wednesday’s practice and he wasn’t on the field Thursday. Ratliff is recovering from a groin injury.
-Guard
Nate Livings
wasn’t participating in the early portion of Thursday’s practice. He’s been hampered by a minor knee injury. Livings has talked about returning to play against his former team in Cincinnati. Livings was out on the field with the team for a few minutes then went to the weight room to work out on his own.
Derrick Dockery
was practicing at guard in his place.
-Defensive backs
Orlando Scandrick
(hand) and
Charlie Peprah
(foot) both remained sidelined from practice.
