Report: Terrell Owens Agrees To Deal With Seattle Seahawks

Posted Aug 6, 2012

Getcha coffee ready. Former Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens has agreed to a deal with the Seattle Seahawks, according to FoxSports.com’s Jay Glazer.

Seattle will be Owens’ sixth NFL team and seventh stop in pro football. This spring, he returned to the North Texas area as a player and part owner of the Indoor Football League’s Allen Wranglers, but the team severed ties with him midway through his first season, alleging he had breached his contract.

Owens, 38, has admitted significant financial problems this year and been to court for falling behind on his child support. He has been lobbying for another NFL chance ever since he last played, in 2010, for the Cincinnati Bengals. During summer training in 2011, he tore his ACL.

Owens is currently sixth in league history in receptions (sixth), second in receiving yards (15,934) and tied with Randy Moss for second in receiving touchdowns (153).

He had 235 catches, 3,587 yards and 38 touchdowns with the Cowboys from 2006-08.

The Cowboys play the Seahawks in Seattle in Week 2 of the regular season, which could be the first regular season meeting between Owens and the Cowboys since the team released him in March, 2009.
