The Cowboys-Redskins rivalry probably never left, but it’s certainly at the top of its peak after this season.
The Cowboys, once again, were one of the most-watched teams in the NFL, including the top two rated games of the season – both against the Redskins.
In fact, last Sunday’s season finale showdown in Washington was the most-watched primetime game in NFL regular-season history with an average of 30.3 million viewers.
Obviously, it was the No. 1 watched game of the entire football season but the second spot went to the Cowboys-Redskins game on Thanksgiving with 28.7 million viewers.
The Cowboys played in four of the top six viewed games this year. Fifth on the list was Giants-Cowboys on Oct. 28 with 26.9 million. Sixth was Cowboys-Steelers on CBS on Dec. 16 with 26.9 million.
Overall, the Cowboys played in six of the 25 most-watched games of the 2012 season.
