Rally Day Saturday At Stadium; First Responders Game Sunday

Posted Nov 30, 2012

IRVING, Texas – Cowboys Stadium will host an Armed Forces Rally Day on Saturday, one day prior to the First Responder Appreciation Game.

Rally Day will last from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and will include Cowboys alumni, appearances from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Rowdy and Santa, as well as military-themed activities and interactive games for children.

The Cowboys will honor police, fire and border patrol agents during the First Responder Appreciation Game against the Eagles the next day. Between 900 and 1,000 local first responders, as well as national border patrol agents stationed in Texas, will be present during the festivities.

Static displays will be presented in the east and west plazas, ranging from fire trucks to police and border patrol vehicles to motorcycles and off-road vehicles.

The Border Patrol Pipe and Drum Band will perform in the east and west plazas during pregame. Once the festivities begin inside the stadium, the Cowboys will honor two fallen Arlington police officers and one fallen Arlington firefighter who suffered fatal injuries in the line of duty. Their families will be presented with a plaque and other items.

The National Anthem will be sung by the Dallas Police Choir, joined by members of the Arlington Police Department, Arlington Fire Department and border patrol agents.
