PASQUAL FACUNDO - AUSTIN, TX: Is anybody as excited as I am about Miles Austin finally getting the chance to start? Austin should help spread the field, so what part of the offense does this help the most?
Nick: If it works out like you're hoping for, then it could help out Jason Witten in the middle. Right now, some teams are putting safeties on Witten but if you have Austin running deep and stretching the field, it might prevent that from happening. If Witten sees mostly coverage from LBs, then it's a battle the Cowboys could easily exploit.
Rob: If Austin can back off the safeties, it should help a lot of areas. Jason Witten will have more room to operate and the running backs will face fewer eight-man fronts. The Cowboys are hoping Austin can provide another big-play threat, and not just with the deep ball. In no way is this a direct comparison, but Terrell Owens' yards-after-catch were so dangerous. And that's how Austin got 250 yards against the Chiefs.
Josh: Maybe you see a little more production from the tight ends and Roy Williams trolling the middle of the field. As much as we think Austin's speed could open things up for the other guys, you have to just hope he's productive as well. Because he'll only be a positive influence on the other guys if he proves to be a threat week-in and week-out himself.
SHAFIQ VIRANI - ATLANTA, GA: I think there's a legitimate case to be made for Tashard Choice to come in as the starter with Marion Barber specializing in the red zone and the fourth quarter and Felix Jones used in situational plays where he can be most explosive. Your thoughts?
Nick: I still like Marion starting. When healthy, he's the best back on the field in my opinion.
Rob: There's a legitimate case to give Choice more carries, that's for sure. But that's easier said than done if all three guys are healthy. Barber is better than just a short-yardage, fourth-quarter back -- as long as he's 100 percent. But as long as he and Jones are limited, Choice does need plenty of work.
Josh: I like Choice too. For now, though, I think Marion Barber and Felix Jones are better. Choice is a valuable commodity, though, a talented guy the Cowboys can lean on when either of those other two are banged up.
