(Editor's Note: Each day we will take the 2 best questions for our staff writers to answer from the Mailbag. "Click here" to email questions now.)

MICHAEL WEBB - LOVELY, KY: With Allen Rossum hurt now do you think it's a good idea for Felix Jones to go back to returning kickoffs? He is pretty explosive in that role, but there are obviously some concerns about his durability.

Nick: If he's going to get hurt, he's going to get hurt. Felix Jones is your best option at kickoff returns and since he's not the starting running back, put him back there. I don't see the problem with that.

Rob: I'm OK with it. Felix is only averaging eight offensive touches in four games. It's not like he's being overworked already. He's a home-run threat on returns and he seems willing to do it. But I wouldn't mind seeing Kevin Ogletree get a chance, too. It's just tough to activate five receivers.

Josh: I would find someone else to do it. I just think Felix is too important an option offensively to risk on what is literally the most violent play in football, given the injury problems he's had. I know he's really good at it and all, but I also saw the difficulties the Cowboys offense had after he was lost for the season last year, and in the two games he missed already this season.

JOE MAYHEW - LOMPOC, CA: So I saw David Buehler on the punt coverage team blocking the right wing against the Falcons Sunday. I know he is a very good athlete (on kickoffs he is typically "flying" down the field trying to make a play), but come on - how many teams have ever had a kicker play on the punt team who isn't the punter? Is this really a good idea?

Nick: Seems like he handles it well. He's been doing it for three games and if you just noticed it, obviously he hasn't hurt anything.

Rob: Buehler told me he likes punt team because it gets him mentally ready for kickoffs and he feels like he's in the thick of the action. I see your point, Joe, because there's always an injury risk there. Nick Folk can always kick off if something happens to Buehler, but the rookie has become so valuable in terms of field position.

Josh: Obviously they still have Folk to kick off in case Buehler was injured. But I don't think he hurts anything playing on punt or punt return. Like you said, he is a good athlete, and he ought to be able to handle those assignments. They're pretty simple.
