PRO: After signing with the Cowboys on Aug. 5 - during the middle of training camp - Erik Bickerstaff
proved to be a quick study as he quickly picked up Dallas�s offense. His play during the preseason -which
included 89 rushing yards on 17 carries (5.2 avg.) - helped propel him to a spot on the Cowboys
roster. He will be looked upon to provide the squad with quality special teams play while providing depth
at the running back position.
2002: Bickerstaff was inelegible to play as a senior.
2001: Bickerstaff earned his third letter, seeing time on special teams in eight games.
2000: As a sophomore, Bickerstaff was the back-up fullback and earned his second letter.
1999: As a redshirt freshman, Bickerstaff made the switch from tailback to fullback. He recorded one
carry for one yard against Indiana.
1998: Bickerstaff reshirted as a true freshman and participated on the squad�s scout team.
PERSONAL: Erik Bickerstaff was an all-league selection at North High School in Waukesha, Wis. As
a junior, he rushed for 1,516 yards and 16 touchdowns earning MVP honors. The sociology major was
also a three-time all-league selection in track and field.
