FRISCO, Texas – Hang on tight, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover, lot of Shots to knock out quickly, so we’ll be going fast. Read Especially now that the NFL Draft at AT&T Stadium is now a week away. Batter up. Read
FRISCO, Texas – Following Dez Bryant’s release last Friday, the Cowboys are moving forward at wide receiver. Read
FRISCO, Texas – At long last, there’s some clarity in this situation. Read Regardless of the particulars of the conversation, the Cowboys have released Dez Bryant. The wide receiver room that looked so crowded last month is now without its largest presence. Read The details of the past few months would probably make for a fantastic documentary, but they’re irrelevant to the next question: what comes next? Read
FRISCO, Texas – As we sit just about halfway in between the start of free agency and the NFL Draft, nothing new has transpired from the Dez Bryant situation. Read While there has not been an official announcement, it doesn’t even sound like Dez has met with either Jerry Jones or Stephen Jones about his future with the team. Read But that could change by the end of this week. Reports have surfaced that Dez is expected to meet with Jerry Jones as early as Friday. Read
LANDON CABELL Read CHARLESTON, SC Read The argument for the front office not picking Harold Landry always comes back to them passing on T.J. Watt last year and it being because that type of player doesn't fit the scheme. Is there any chance the reason last year had more to do with Watt's huge injury history and the team wanting to pivot towards getting players who could stay on the field? Read
FRISCO, Texas – It’s a question I’ve been asked in almost every aspect of my life these past few months. Read People ask me at parties. They ask me at the grocery store and during Uber rides. They obviously ask me at work. Read But things really jumped the shark last week at a college pro day, when an NFL player asked me the fateful question. Who could possibly be more informed on the behind-the-scenes workings of the NFL than a member of that elite fraternity? Read And yet, he wanted to know, too – “What’s going on with Dez?” Read I wish I could tell y’all. Read
ORLANDO, Fla. – As outside speculation about Dez Bryant’s contract continues, team owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he would like to meet with the veteran receiver in the near future, but the timing hasn’t been right so far this offseason. Read “We need to talk, and I certainly have not had a thought about talking with him that did not anticipate him being with us,” Jones said Tuesday from the NFL Annual Meeting in Orlando. Read
MICHAEL LOGIUDICEWILMINGTON, MAWith the signings of Hurns and Thompson, do you think this takes the Cowboys out of a possible selection of Calvin Ridley, or possibly DJ Moore at pick No. 19? They could have them learn for a year or more without the pressure of being “the main guy.” Read Read
FRISCO, Texas – After taking a free-agent visit to Dallas on Wednesday, wide receiver Allen Hurns has signed a two-year contract with the Cowboys. Read
