Biography

The Dallas Cowboys signed cornerback Nolan Carroll as an unrestricted free agent in the early stages of 2017 free agency. Carroll, originally a fifth round draft pick (145th overall) by the Miami Dolphins in 2010, has played in 101 games with 54 starts over seven NFL seasons with the Dolphins (2010-13) and Philadelphia Eagles (2014-16). He has amassed 263 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and eight interceptions - one for a touchdown - with 56 pass breakups in his career. A long and athletic corner, Carroll will immediately add to a Cowboys secondary that lost several contributors from the 2016 season and look to be an impact player on the outside and in the slot at cornerback. His eight career interceptions are tied (Orlando Scandrick) for the most by a current Cowboys defensive back.
