Connor has battled injuries in his first four years in the NFL, landing on Reserve/Injured twice, but has shown the ability and skills to be a force in the middle when healthy. For his career, he has started 19-of-42 games played recording 166 tackles, one tackle for loss, 32 pressures, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

• Was inactive with a shoulder injury at Detroit (11/20).

• Caused a fumble, which led to a Panthers touchdown, against Tampa Bay (12/24).

2010 (Carolina):

• Placed on Reserve/Injured with a hip injury on November 9, after starting the first eight games at middle linebacker.

• Recorded 60 tackles, one sack, four pressures and one pass breakup.

• Had his first career sack at the N.Y. Giants (9/12).

• Racked up a single-game career-high 14 tackles against Chicago (10/10).

• Suffered a bone chip in his left hip against New Orleans (11/8) that landed him on Reserve/Injured.

2009 (Carolina):

• Saw action in all 16 games, mainly as a reserve linebacker, posting 19 tackles, one pressure and one fumble recovery.

• Led the team with 14 special teams tackles.

• Saw most extensive action of the season at New England (12/13), where he recorded a season-high 10 tackles and recovered a fumble.

2008 (Carolina):

• Played in three games, primarily on special teams, before suffering a season-ending left knee injury at Minnesota (9/21).

• Recorded four special teams tackles prior to the injury.

• Placed on Reserve/Injured on September 23.

COLLEGE:

• Set a school record with 419 career tackles in his 45 games (37 starts) at Penn State.

• Also added 14.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, four interceptions, 16 passes defensed and one safety.

• Won the Bednarik Award as a senior in 2007, awarded to the nation’s top defensive player and was a finalist for the Butkus Award (nation’s top linebacker), semi-finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year and Rotary Lombardi Award.

• Was named first-team All-American and first-team All-Big 10.

• Started all 13 games at middle linebacker as a senior, recording a career-high and team-leading 145 tackles, the second-highest single-season total in school history.

• Added 6.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one interception and six pass breakups.

• Tallied a single-game best 18 tackles against Ohio State and at Temple.

• Was second-team All-American and second-team All-Big 10 as a junior and a finalist for the Bednarik Award.

• Started all 13 games at outside linebacker and finished second on the team with 113 tackles while adding five sacks, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and two pass breakups.

• As a sophomore, played in nine games with seven starts, compiling 76 tackles, 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery for a touchdown and eight pass breakups.

• Named All-America by The Sporting News as a freshman, playing in 10 games with four starts and ranked second on the team with 85 tackles and added one sack and one interception.

PERSONAL:

• Earned consensus All-America honors and selected by Parade as the nation’s top prep linebacker at Strath Haven High School in Wallingford, Pa.

• A four-year starter who also rushed for 4,556 yards and 77 touchdowns.

• Also lettered in basketball and track and field.

• Majored in crime, law and justice at Penn State.

• Participated in various charity events while with the Carolina Panthers.
