• After redshirting his senior year due to injury and returning for his fifth season in 2010, recorded 133 tackles, ranking 12th in the nation, and was selected first-team All-Big 12 by coaches and the Associated Press.
• Started at middle linebacker all 13 games as a junior finishing with 90 tackles, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
• Played in seven games as a true freshman and five games as a sophomore.

• As a quarterback at Yates High School in Houston, Texas, passed for 1,214 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed for 600 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior.
