Bill Parcells
Head Coach
On Jan. 2, Bill Parcells took over the head coaching reigns of the Dallas Cowboys, marking the union of one of the NFL's most visible and successful franchises with one of the most prominent coaching names in the history of the league. Jerry Jones's appointment of Parcells to the Cowboys top job will give the sixth head coach in Dallas history the opportunity to guide a fourth different team to the NFL playoffs and a third club to the Super Bowl.
Maurice Carthon
Offensive Coordinator
Maurice Carthon joins the Cowboys after two years in Detroit. The former NFL running back will serve as the club's offensive coordinator, overseeing game plan preparations, as well as work with the club's running backs. Carthon served as the Lions offensive coordinator in 2002 after originally joining the team as the running backs coach in 2001.
Gary Gibbs
Linebackers
Gary Gibbs joined the Cowboys coaching staff in 2002 as linebackers coach and brought to Dallas 22 years of coaching experience - including six as a head coach at the University of Oklahoma. In his first year with the Cowboys, Gibbs unit was one of the club's strongest and most dependable.
Steve Hoffman
Kickers/Defensive Quality Control
Steve Hoffman joined the Cowboys in 1989 and has undertaken the task of identifying and developing young kickers and punters. His challenges over the past 14 years have been highly visible, and his impressive results have allowed him to develop an outstanding reputation around the NFL.
Jim Jeffcoat
Defensive Ends
A five-year member of the Cowboys' coaching staff, Jeffcoat has spent the last three seasons as the defensive ends coach after two years as the club's assistant defensive line coach. Hired as an assistant in 1998, Jeffcoat often calls upon his 15 years of NFL playing experience to help tutor the Cowboys.
Joe Juraszek
Strength and Conditioning
Joe Juraszek (pronounced jer-AH-sick) joined the Cowboys staff as the strength and conditioning coach in February 1997, and implemented a hands-on approach that stresses strength development, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility and speed work.
Mike Zimmer
Defensive Coordinator
After helping shape the Cowboys pass defense into one of the NFL's best in the second half of the 1990s, Mike Zimmer was handed the responsibility of coordinating the Cowboys defense on Feb. 1, 2000. During his nine seasons in Dallas, Zimmer has been a part of four NFC Eastern Division titles and the Cowboys Super Bowl XXX win over Pittsburgh.
Sean Payton
Assistant Head Coach/Quarterbacks
Sean Payton, regarded as one of the NFL's bright young offensive coaches, joins the Cowboys as Assistant Head Coach/Quarterbacks in 2003. He comes to Dallas after four years with the New York Giants, the last three as their offensive coordinator.
Bruce DeHaven
Special Teams
Bruce DeHaven is a 16-year veteran of NFL sidelines, and he joins the Cowboys as special teams coach. Working alongside kicking coach Steve Hoffman, DeHaven will work to duplicate the success he had in both Buffalo and San Francisco.
George Warhop
Offensive Line
George Warhop joins the Cowboys after five seasons as the offensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals. Warhop's experience in working with one of the NFL's largest and most powerful offensive lines in 2002 (6-5, 323-pound average) should pay off in Dallas as he guides Larry Allen, Flozell Adams, Ryan Young, and Andre Gurode.
Tony Sparano
Tight Ends
Tony Sparano joins the Cowboys as tight ends coach after a year with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will be asked to bring an offensive punch to the tight end position in both the passing game and the running attack.
Todd Haley
Wide Receivers
A seven-year veteran of NFL sidelines, Haley joins the Cowboys after three seasons as wide receivers coach with the Chicago Bears.
Kacy Rodgers
Defensive Tackles
Kacy Rodgers joins the Cowboys as defensive tackles coach after a one-year stint as the defensive line coach at the University of Arkansas. Rodgers will work side-by-side with Jim Jeffcoat, the team's defensive ends coach.
David Lee
Offensive Assistant/Quality Control
David Lee brings 27 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level to Dallas where he will serve as the club's offensive assistant, overseeing the team's quality control efforts. Included in his 27 years of experience are five as a head coach (1989-93 at Texas El Paso) and eight as an offensive coordinator.
Mike MacIntyre
Assistant Secondary
Mike MacIntyre will serve as the Cowboys assistant secondary coach after spending the past four seasons on the Ole Miss coaching staff. In Dallas, MacIntyre will work closely with defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer in preparing the club's secondary for action.
