WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old in all styles including jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and ballet, and I began competing in high school. I had the honor to dance for the UCLA Spirit Squad as a member and captain of the Dance Team during my junior and senior years of college.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC?
I fell in love with cheerleading in college and didn’t feel ready to give up dancing upon graduation. I told myself if I were to continue my dance career, I would challenge myself to train and eventually audition for the best of the best, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
IF YOU CAN SAY ANYTHING TO COWBOYS FANS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
I would tell Cowboys fans that they’re the best in the world, and that they’re a big part of the reason why I wanted to become a DCC in the first place. Everyone says that the Cowboys are America’s Team, but it genuinely feels like the whole country is rooting them on when we’re out there cheering on the field. The pride surrounding this organization is universal, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of it.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC?
I would advise someone who dreams of becoming a DCC to chase that dream with everything she has. She should come as physically and mentally prepared as possible, and enter the audition process with an open mind and heart. With preparation, determination, and positivity, anything is possible and dreams really can come true.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC?
Nothing can compare to the sisterhood DCC provides. Every woman in this organization is so unique and talented, and they inspire me to be the best version of myself. I also love that everyone’s lives outside of dance are truly celebrated, only proving that DCC is so much more than a cheerleading team.
