WHAT IS YOUR JUNK FOOD WEAKNESS?
WHO IS YOUR “CELEBRITY CRUSH”?
Oh man, Chris Pratt and Ryan Reynolds!
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?
Pediatric Physician Assistant. I love working with children and want to give back to the community and to help those around me in any way I can!
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR?
Snakes. Spiders. Sharks.
WHAT IS AN EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
An embarrassing moment… So, the first time I ever tried sushi was with my mother. They brought a little tray of some “white stuff and green stuff,” which I later found out to be ginger and wasabi. But, at that time, I had no idea what it was! I asked my mother, “Hey, what is this green stuff?” She goes, “Oh! Lisa, that’s guacamole.” She knows how much I love guacamole, and being the awesome, loving, caring mother she is, she offered the entire dollop of “guacamole.” So, I ate it all in one bite… I was in tears. I was begging the waiter for a gallon of water because I drank all of my water already. People around me at the restaurant were laughing… Sushi, to this day, is still my favorite to eat.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS (IF SO LIST NAMES)?
I have a lhasapoo puppy named JJ Nowitzki! I love that little guy with all my heart!
WHO IS THE MOST INSPIRATIONAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE?
My mother. Hands down. Also, my Uncle Billy and Uncle Carlos. May they rest in peace. I love you all very much, and thank you for all you have done for your country, your family, your friends, and for myself.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM VACATION DESTINATION?
Relaxing in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora sounds pretty great if you ask me!
IF YOU HAD TO PICK TWO CELEBRITIES TO BE YOUR PARENTS WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Oh, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski for sure.
LIST 5 WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU:
Outgoing/Spontaneous. Determined. Witty. Honest. Caring.
WHAT IS ONE THING MOST PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
When someone asks you what your favorite class is, what would you say? Well, mine would be math… Said no one ever, right? I fell in love with math at the age of 6 thanks to my 1st grade teacher, Mr. Suddith. My mother would go around telling people I was excited for my math class/test that day (there’s another embarrassing moment for you).
I have also played the piano for the last 20 years!
DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES?
Lisa. Lisa-Lou. Li-Li. Millsy. LILY (My mom calls me this. It stands for “Lisa, I Love You”).
WHAT FAMOUS PERSON (DEAD OR ALIVE) WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH? WHY?
Freddie Mercury. I absolutely admire his talent. Queen is one of my all time favorite bands. But, what I most admire about Freddy aside from his genius creativity, musicianship, and performance abilities is his genuineness. He was a man who did not worry what others thought about him because he was content with who he was as a person and as a musician. He poured his heart and soul into his music and lyrics and truly wanted to connect with his audience. He performed not only for himself or his fellow band members but for his fans as well because he wanted to provide a raw and authentic experience of a lifetime with each and every song. He performed to the best of his ability consistently and lived life to the fullest. He is a huge inspiration and a legendary artist.
WHAT IS THE MOST EMBARRASSING SONG ON YOUR IPOD RIGHT NOW?
Probably Campfire Song Song from Spongebob… (:
WHAT IS YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
My guilty pleasure would have to be… online window shopping. Definitely.
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR SUPER POWER?
The ability to fly! (mainly to avoid Dallas traffic.. just kidding!!)
FINISH THIS STATEMENT: I am most proud of….
I hope to have made a positive change in this world no matter how big or small it may have been. I want to leave this world inspiring those around me, even if it is only one person. “Aspire to inspire”—that’s my motto.
WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?
I started dancing at the age of 2. I would take recreational classes throughout the years. While dancing, I still participated in volleyball, basketball, softball, track, and soccer. Then, at the age of 10, I started competing with my private dance studio, and in high school, I decided to limit my extracurricular activities to cheerleading and competitive dance. I attended the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Pom Squad for four years and served as co-captain my senior year. After graduation, I danced for the Dallas Mavericks for two years, and now, I am honored to dance for the Dallas Cowboys!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC?
I have always admired and respected the program. I always dreamed of trying out, and I did not want to live my life full of “what if’s.” I set a goal in pursuing my dream and continuing my passion, and I trusted in the process regardless of the outcome because the journey would lead me to wonderful people and would help me grow as a dancer and as a person.
IF YOU CAN SAY ANYTHING TO COWBOYS FANS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
To all of the Cowboys fans: Thank you for the constant support and recognizing the work and dedication it takes to represent a well-known and well-respected organization. Cowboys Nation makes the whole experience even more special.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC?
Do not ever be afraid to chase your dreams. Follow your heart. Everyone has their own race; run yours. If you fall at any point, lift yourself up and keep trying. But, trust in the process. Anything worthwhile in life takes time and requires dedication and determination.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC?
I look forward to learning about each of my 36 sisters (and dancing with them of course!) and being a part of this special family—both Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Cowboys Nation. I look forward to exemplifying the values instilled by the program in every situation on a daily basis. And, I look forward to interacting with the fans and creating special memories. (Looking forward to a Super Bowl WIN too! \fingers crossed\)
