WHAT IS YOUR DANCING BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE?
I began dancing at the age of 8 at The Art of Motion. At age 11, I began dancing on their competitive team through high school graduation. I danced on school dance teams in Jr. High and High School, where I served as captain for both teams. I was a member of the University of Arkansas Pom Squad, and I served as a captain my senior year. Last year, I was a member of the Texas Legends Dance Team in Frisco, TX. I am now a 2nd year Veteran for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR DCC?
My junior year of college, Arkansas played Texas A&M at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. We met with former DCC’s, one of which was also a former Razorback. I knew that after college I was not going to be finished dancing. At that moment I knew I wanted to strive to make the best NFL team in the nation and go for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
IF YOU CAN SAY ANYTHING TO COWBOYS FANS, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
Thank you for being the best fans in the nation. Game day is the best day of the week for us, but it could never be the way that it is without our loyal fans.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO DREAMS OF BECOMING A DCC?
My number one advice would be to keep dancing. Take as many classes as possible in all genres. There is always room to grow in dance. Also, become a part of a team. College dance teams are always a great step to reach this stage of your dancing career and there are many minor league and D-league teams in the DFW area that are great preparation for DCC as well. Learning how to be a team member can take one far in this industry. Finally, always be yourself. Make people fall in love with you, not someone who you are trying to be.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING A PART OF DCC?
The sisterhood that has been built throughout the years of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. It is amazing to get to witness first hand, and become a part of this sisterhood. These friendships are ones that are going to last a lifetime.
