2026 NFL Draft Defensive Tackle Prospects

This position was considered one of the deepest on the team when free agency began. And while that hasn’t changed, some of the faces certainly have. The Cowboys still have a pair of Pro Bowlers in the middle in Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark, and they will likely anchor new coordinator Christian Parker’s defensive scheme, which is expected to be multiple in three- and four-man fronts. The big change was the trade of Osa Odighizuwa, who was just one season into his four-year extension. He was sent to the 49ers, where he’ll reunite with former Dallas defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus. And about 10 minutes after that trade was completed, the Cowboys also sent Solomon Thomas to the Titans, where he will join former defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton. But the Cowboys weren’t just saying goodbye to defensive tackles. They did acquire Otito Ogbonnia, a former Chargers nose tackle who has been listed north of 320 pounds. It seems obvious the Cowboys are looking for a different type of interior tackle these days, opting for more size over quickness. Ogbonnia should fit the bill and take up plenty of space. – Nick Eatman
