FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys welcomed in their 20-member rookie class on Thursday, as the group prepares to take part in rookie minicamp this weekend at The Star.

The day included them arriving at the facility, going through medicals, meeting with coaches and later signing the paperwork that officially makes them the newest members of the team before hitting the field starting tomorrow with Mike McCarthy and the rest of the coaching staff.

"It definitely has [sunk in] already," first-round pick Tyler Guyton said. "But once I get on the field and put in some work, I'll understand it."'

The Cowboys welcomed in three draft selections on the offensive line, including third-round pick Cooper Beebe, who was donning his Cowboys draft hat on the flight into Dallas ahead of his first official work with the team.

"I showed up and saw this beautiful facility and it finally hit me that I'm a Dallas Cowboy," Beebe said.

Veterans are scattered throughout the facility at this time of the year, as voluntary workouts began last month. While most were out of the building by the time the rookies came through on Thursday, a few have already been able to connect.

"I can't wait to [meet with the veterans]," sixth-round pick Ryan Flournoy said. "I've been down here connecting with Trey Lance and I'm just excited to pick their brains."

In addition to Flournoy connecting with a quarterback he will most likely need to get acclimated with for preseason action, Beebe has already been talking with Zack Martin via text. Fifth-round pick Caelen Carson has already been thrown into the cornerback group text as well.

"I'm just ready to get in there and learn from the older guys and take in a lot," second-round pick Marshawn Kneeland said. "I want to produce as much as possible."
