Jimmy Johnson, Everson Walls, T.O. On 2018 Hall Of Fame Semifinalist List

FRISCO, Texas – The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced its 27 modern-era semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018, and three have Cowboys ties: Jimmy Johnson, Terrell Owens, and first-time semifinalist Everson Walls.

Walls, a four-time Pro Bowl defensive back with the Cowboys from 1981-89, is only the second player in NFL history to lead the league in interceptions during three different seasons. He's one of four first-time semi-finalists, joining LeRoy Butler, Leslie O'Neal and Simeon Rice.

Johnson, a semifinalist last year, coached back-to-back Cowboys Super Bowl championship teams in the 1990s.

Owens a finalist last year, played for Dallas from 2006-08 during a 15-year career that also included stops in San Francisco, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Cincinnati. He produced three straight 1,000-yard seasons and 38 touchdowns with the Cowboys.

The 27 semifinalists were selected from 108 nominees. Fifteen finalists will be announced in January.
