Further Review: Cowboys Keep Their Season Alive 

Player of the Game: While his quarterback had 377 passing yards and spread the ball around, the game changed dramatically in the second quarter. And that's when Michael Gallup went to work, catching both of his two touchdowns and the majority of his 121 receiving yards.

Nemesis: Early in the game, Jalen Hurts was controlling the ball for the Eagles, leading the way to two touchdowns. While the Cowboys eventually got things under control, Hurts totaled over 400 yards from scrimmage, including 342 and 69 yards rushing. More than anything, he looks like a player who could be facing the Cowboys for years to come.

Unsung Hero: Randy Gregory had three forced fumbles on Sunday on 1.5 sacks, producing one of his best games of his career. The pass-rushing specialist gave Jalen Hurts some problems on the outside and was a big reason the Cowboys' defense held Philly without a point in the second half.

Turning Point: One of the main reasons that teams defer the coin toss decision to the second half, is to get the opportunity to score in the third quarter – to either pad a lead or come back from a deficit. The real advantage is when that same team can score at the end of the half as well. The Cowboys were able to grab the lead at the end of the second quarter on a touchdown pass from Dalton to Gallup and then open the third quarter with a score from Dalton to CeeDee Lamb, turning a 17-13 deficit to a 27-17 lead.

Don't Forget ... The 105 rushing yards is the most by Ezekiel Elliott this season. He missed last week's game with a calf injury ad was limited in practice all week. But Zeke not only had his best rushing day, but ripped off a season-long 31-yard run in the fourth quarter. Zeke is now at 937 rushing yards this season, needing 63 on Sunday in New York to claim his fourth 1,000-yard season of his career.

So, That Happened: Just as big as the Cowboys beating the Eagles on Sunday was what happened in Washington. The Carolina Panthers help keep the Cowboys' season alive by beating Washington 20-13, preventing them from winning the division and making Sunday's game in the Meadowlands a meaningful one for both Dallas and the Giants.

Need More From ... At this point, the Cowboys have been winning games in all three phases. They've jumped back into a first-place tie and still need some help to win the NFC East. So now, the Cowboys simply need more from ... the Eagles. Yes, Philadelphia is eliminated from the postseason but if the Cowboys are going to win the division, they must beat the Giants AND have the Eagles defeat Washington. So the Cowboys certainly don't want Jalen Hurts and the Eagles demoralized heading into Sunday night's game.

Stat of the Game: The Cowboys outscored the Eagles 34-3 in the final three quarters of the game, including a 17-0 shutout in the second half. Philly jumped out to a 14-3 lead early but the Cowboys soared back and then never let the Eagles back in the game.

Remember Me: Trevon Diggs and Jalen Hurts were not teammates last year, but the two were on the same Alabama teams in 2017-18, winning a national title together. Diggs calls Hurts a "good friend" and has all the respect for his former teammate. But he had no problems picking him off in the fourth quarter, recording his third career interception. All of Diggs' picks this year have occurred against Philly.

Milestone: CeeDee Lamb became the first Cowboys player since 1962 to record a receiving touchdown, rushing touchdown and kickoff return touchdown in the same season. Only Amos Marsh has accomplished that feat for the Cowboys and Lamb became the first rookie in team history and 29th rookie in league history to score touchdown in those three ways.
