Notes: Up To Par; Gregory Again & Streak Over

Last time out, Micah Parsons was frustrated by the lack of impact he made against New England.

In the wake of Sunday's win against Minnesota, Parsons had himself a game ball for his efforts.

"I felt like this is probably one of my better games I played," he said.

It's hard to argue, looking over the box score. Parsons again spent most of his night at linebacker, where he led all tacklers with 11 – 10 of them being solo stops.

If that weren't impressive enough, he seemed to have a real knack for sniffing out the Vikings' ideas before they got going, as he made four tackles for loss in the game.

"Preparation is always going to help you see things faster, and I was doing my self-scouting and things I've got to get better with my eyes and what's in front of me," he said.

The results speak for themselves – 278 total yards for Minnesota with just 16 points. And, it's safe to say, one big feather in the cap for the Cowboys' impressive rookie

Streak Ends For Diggs

The remarkable and history-making streak from Trevon Diggs came to an end Sunday as he did not record an interception in his seventh straight game, which would've tied an NFL modern-day record.

"I'm always trying to get picks," Diggs said. "It did come to end, but I'll try again on the next little run."

Diggs gave up a few more receptions than we've seen this year and was flagged for two penalties.

"The refs were calling it really close. It was one of those games, but I'm not going to change me," Diggs said. "It's how I play, my playstyle. I'm aggressive. That's how I'm going to play. We got the 'dub,' and I'm happy."

Diggs said he should be fine after limping off on the final series with a sore ankle.

Kazee Responds

It was the first game back for Damontae Kazee after he was arrested for suspicion of DWI during the bye week.

The safety played the entire game and was proud of the way his defensive teammates "showed up," especially on the final drive of the game.

Kazee was asked to comment on the off-the-field incident and if he expects a fine and/or suspension from the NFL.

"Whatever it is, is my punishment, and I have to deal with it, own up to it," Kazee said. "I apologized to my family, my teammates, my coaches and to the owner, who gave a job. I'm happy the Lord helped me get out, I didn't hit nobody, I didn't hurt myself. Just thankful I'm here now."

On Second Thought ...

Earlier in the week, safety Jayron Kearse said this week's game in Minnesota was "just another game" for him despite spending his first four years with the Vikings.

Afterwards, he had a big smile when asked about that and admitted that maybe this one meant more than he realized.

"It felt great. To come out here and get a win at a place I spent a lot of time at," Kearse said. "It was a good feeling when the clock hit zero and we were up. I'm excited. I'm happy. It was a big one for us."

Kearse had six tackles for the Cowboys and had a big stop near the goal line in the fourth quarter that led to a field goal.

On A Roll

Don't look now, but Randy Gregory is putting together a run of his own.

Trevon Diggs' streak of interceptions might have stopped Sunday in Minneapolis, but Gregory did manage to notch a sack of Kirk Cousins. Combine that with multiple-sack outings against Carolina and New England, and it means Gregory has notched five sacks in his last four games.

"One of the things I talked about earlier this year, just get the ball rolling, and when it rolls, just keep it going and stay on that streak, individually and collectively as a team," Gregory said.

Gregory's sack came on a 3rd-and-5 in the third quarter, and it contributed to the Vikings going just 1-of-13 on third down for the game.

After a run of blowout wins in the month of September, this marks the second-straight outing that the Cowboys pulled a win out at the very end. As Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy has said, Gregory echoed that it's the type of win that can come in handy in the future.

"It kind of gives you that playoff game atmosphere. It's the kind of wins you need," he said. "Tough it out throughout the end, play through some adversity, it seems like we've been doing it a lot lately, and came out with the 'dub.'"
