Hey Cowboys Fans!

I cannot express how thankful I am to be a part of the best team in the NFL. I am excited and humbled that I have the opportunity to perform with so many talented people!

I was born and raised in Richardson, Texas. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and received a Master's focused on Marine Geology and Micropaleontology from Oklahoma State University both of which allowed me to explore the science and beauty of our natural world. I discovered a passion for music through percussion in middle school and continued pursuing it as a hobby throughout college and the years after. After competing in drumline competitions in high school and college it feels great to be back performing for America's team!

I am so grateful and honored that I have been given the opportunity to do what I love for the Dallas Cowboys. Thank you to all of the friends, family, and mentors who have led me down this path. I look forward to growing as a musician and performer in the coming years alongside the Dallas Cowboys!

Let's Go Cowboys!

Number of years on the team: Second year

Prior Drum Experience: I marched snare in high school and college at Plano East High School and Texas Christian University and had the opportunity to compete in a PASIC indoor drumline competition in college. I have had the opportunity to play alongside numerous talented musicians and wonderful people throughout this time and am looking forward to continuing that trend with the Dallas Cowboys drumline!

Nicknames: Never had any. Eric was always short enough!

Hometown: Dallas, TX

I drum because: There is so much room for expression in music and every instrument provides something unique. The drive and energy that comes with playing something difficult perfectly in time with a dozen other people is unmatched.

What I like to do most besides drum is: Anything outdoors. Being a geologist, any opportunity to go backpacking, climbing, or exploring at all is just another excuse to bring even more rocks back home!

I've always wanted to: I have a long bucket list of places to travel, food to try, things to do. Top of the list right now is working towards through-hiking one of America's incredible weeks to months-long trails.

Advice to Youngsters: Be you! Learn to love who YOU are because only you can offer the world your unique experience.

My biggest role model is: It's hard to pick just one! There have been so many different people in my life over the years who have helped shape who I am. Parents, grandparents, teachers, colleagues. I am grateful for everyone who has come through my life!

What I enjoy most about being a DCRB Drummer is: The energy is amazing! The fans really make everything feel like a community. We are all connected through our love of our team!

Favorite Cowboys player past or present: Dez Bryant. He absolutely caught it

Favorite Performer: Jacob Collier. He has such a unique style and sound and you can tell in every performance how much he really loves music.

Favorite Music: There's not much I don't like! Whether it's Tyler Childers bringing me back to college in Lubbock, Tx to the jazzier, hip-hop/electronic influenced pianist Anomalie, to big bands like DFW's own Snarky Puppy there's always new interesting music to find!

Favorite Quotes: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken" - Oscar Wilde

The three guests I would invite to my fantasy dinner party are (dead or alive): Dirk, Hans Zimmer, Chris Hadfield
