Howdy, Cowboys Nation!

My name is Leigha Sanderson, and it is an absolute honor to officially call myself a Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue rookie.

Before the Star and the lights of AT&T Stadium, there was just a little girl who fell in love with dance.

Dance has taken me to stages, competitions, television sets, and opportunities I once could only dream about.

From training at Beyond Belief Dance Company to appearing on Dancing Queen and Siwa's Dance Pop Revolution, becoming a member of XOMG POP!, and performing on incredible stages, every chapter has shaped the dancer I am today.

My journey hasn't always been easy. I was born with spina bifida, and growing up, I learned early that challenges don't have to define what you're capable of.

Dance became one of the ways I found strength, confidence, and a reason to keep pushing forward. If my journey can inspire even one person to believe in themselves and chase what they love, then every challenge has been worth it.

Now, I get to begin one of the most exciting chapters of my journey.

Being a part of DCRB means more than performing. It's about representing the Star, being part of something bigger than myself, and inspiring others to never let their circumstances stop them from dreaming.

I'm so grateful for my family, teachers, coaches, mentors, friends, and everyone who has believed in me along the way.

Here's to my rookie season filled with music, movement, memories, and representing Cowboys Nation.

This is just the beginning. ⭐️

Number of Years on the Team:

This is my first year as a Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue dancer, and I am incredibly grateful to begin my rookie season representing the Star.

Prior Dance/Entertainment Industry Experience:

I have been dancing from a young age and have trained and performed across competitive dance, television, and live entertainment.

I have trained with Beyond Belief Dance Company, appeared on Dancing Queen and Siwa's Dance Pop Revolution, was a member of XOMG POP!, and have had the opportunity to perform on many incredible stages throughout my career.

Nicknames:

My family and friends call me Lei Lei, but through my dance journey, my nickname is Little Red because I may be small, but I'm full of fire!

Hometown:

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas!

I Dance Because:

I dance because it allows me to express myself, connect with people, and become the best version of myself.

Dance has taught me resilience and given me the confidence to keep chasing my dreams. Being born with spina bifida has made my journey especially meaningful, and I hope my story can inspire others to never let a challenge define what they are capable of.

What I Like Most Besides Dance:

Outside of dance, I love playing my guitar and ukulele, making TikTok content, spending time with my family and friends, traveling, going to the beach, experiencing new places, and making memories with the people I love.

Advice to Youngsters:

Believe in yourself, work hard, and never let someone else's opinion make you question what you are capable of.

Your journey does not have to look like anyone else's. Keep showing up, keep learning, and never be afraid to chase a dream that feels bigger than you.

My Biggest Role Model:

My biggest role models are my family. They have supported me through every chapter of my journey and have taught me the importance of working hard, staying grounded, and believing in myself.

What I Enjoy Most About Being a DCRB Dancer:

What I enjoy most about being a DCRB dancer is getting to perform for Cowboys Nation and represent the team I grew up around in Dallas.

Wearing the Star and performing alongside such talented teammates feels like a full-circle moment in my dance journey.

My Favorite Cowboys Player, Past or Present:

Dak Prescott. I admire his leadership, resilience, and the way he continues to show up for his team.

Favorite Performer:

My favorite performer is my dance teacher, Alyssa Edwards. I have had the opportunity to train at his studio and absolutely loved learning from him.

I admire his incredible energy, personality, work ethic, and ability to make everyone around him want to be a better performer.

Favorite Music:

I love music that makes me want to dance, especially pop, R&B, and upbeat music with a strong beat and energy.

Favorite Quote:

"Everything happens for a reason."

The Three Guests I Would Invite to My Fantasy Dinner Party Are:

Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, and Harry Styles. I would love to hear about their creative journeys, songwriting, and what inspires them as artists.
