Cowboys Fans!

I am thrilled to join DCRB as a rookie drummer this season!

While it is my first year with Rhythm & Blue, I have been drumming for over 20 years, including eight years as a member of the Dallas Mavericks Drumline and four years with the Pride of TCU Marching Band, where I served as Drumline Captain.

I have also performed on several film scores and national television commercials and am a three-time national award-winning percussionist.

I'm incredibly excited to bring my passion for drumming and performance to Cowboys Nation!

Number of Years on the Team:
This is my first year with Rhythm & Blue as a rookie drummer.

Prior Dance/Entertainment Industry Experience:
I have been drumming for more than 20 years, including eight years as a member of the Dallas Mavericks Drumline and four years with the Pride of TCU Marching Band, where I served as Drumline Captain.
I have also performed on several film scores and national television commercials and am a three-time national award-winning percussionist.

Hometown:
Grapevine, Texas

Why I Perform:
Growing up just up the road in Grapevine, I learned to love drumming because of the way a great drummer can captivate an audience. I always loved a moment in the spotlight any chance I could get!

What I Like Most Besides Drumming:
I'm a very social person, so my favorite activities are ones where you can play a game and have great conversation at the same time. For me, golf and billiards fit the mold best.

Advice to Youngsters:
Enjoy getting better at something, whatever your interest may be. It's easy to be our own biggest critics, but even the very best started as beginners, and nobody who ever gave their best regretted it.
Always remember the word "yet" — "I can't throw a perfect spiral… yet," or "I can't drum as fast as Mitch… yet!"
If you enjoy practicing and have patience, you'll get there!

My Biggest Role Model:
My dad, who helped teach me this when I was a youngster.

What I Enjoy Most About Being a DCRB Drummer:
The united passion for performance excellence that we all share and building new friendships with other awesome performers.

My Favorite Cowboys Player:
KaVontae Turpin, who I had the pleasure of rooting on at TCU when I was in the Drumline and he was making plays on the field.
I am also excited to cheer on fellow TCU alums Dee Winters, DJ Rogers, and Emari Demercado on the Cowboys this season too!

Favorite Performer:
Buddy Rich, one of the best big-band drummers of all time!

Favorite Music:
I really enjoy big-band music from the 1930s–1960s, but I also love classic rock and country music from the 1960s to today.

Favorite Quote:
"Comparison is the thief of joy."

The Three Guests I Would Invite to My Fantasy Dinner Party Are:
My grandpa, Troy Aikman, and Hans Zimmer.
