In addition to the six pillars of outreach for the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation – The Salvation Army, youth health and wellness, Salute to Service + National Medal of Honor Museum, Inspire Change, Hispanic outreach, and women's causes – the Dallas Cowboys support causes important to our fans and partners throughout the year by activating various events and club resources.

Dallas Cowboys Rookie Club Presented by Blockchain.com

The Dallas Cowboys Rookie Club is an annual outreach initiative designed to introduce the team's newest members to the importance of giving back to the North Texas community. Traditionally, the Rookie Club participates in numerous community service projects and appearances, from school visits and Fitness Zone builds with children, to assisting local food banks and senior citizens in need, to assisting the clients of The Salvation Army.

American Cancer Society Jones Family Hope Lodge Visits with Cowboys Starbot

The Dallas Cowboys telepresence robot made monthly visit with patients of the American Cancer Society Gene and Jerry Jones Family Hope Lodge. Nicknamed "Cowboys Starbot," the robot allows Dallas Cowboys players, alumni, cheerleaders, executives, and others to make monthly visits with cancer patients and their caregivers currently staying at the care facility.

Taste of the Cowboys Presented by Ashley

Hosted annually by the Dallas Cowboys with attendance by Cowboys Legends and current roster members, the Taste of the Cowboys tailgate party benefits the North Texas Food Bank. In 2023 the legendary tailgate party held at Ford Center at The Star featured a silent and live auction, live music, and culinary creations from over thirty of the area's hottest restaurant chefs. Since the fundraiser's inception in 2005, the effort has raised more than $4.4 million and provided approximately 14 million meals to hungry North Texas children through the Food Bank's member agencies and feeding programs.

Taste of the Cowboys Challenge

The Taste of the Cowboys Challenge – a youth cooking competition presented by Dairy MAX and supported by Legends Hospitality, Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation and Albertsons Tom Thumb – challenges local high school culinary teams to an Iron Chef and Chopped-inspired competition to create a three-course "tailgate themed" meal using ingredients commonly donated to the North Texas Food Bank. The event highlights ways food bank clients can build delicious meals using common pantry items. The student teams earn grant money for their schools and Albertsons Tom Thumb gift cards to stock their school kitchens. To date, more than $50,000 has been given in grants to local high school culinary teams.

Reliant Class Acts Teacher Recognition Program

In the 2021-2022 school year, Reliant and the Dallas Cowboys awarded $60,000 in grants benefiting 18 educators that are making a positive impact in their communities through the Class Acts program. Cowboys Class Acts honors DFW teachers that encourage, lead, and strive for excellence in the classroom.

NFL Draft Day Fan Celebrations

The Dallas Cowboys celebrate their fans across the year, but specifically during the spring, by hosting three days of fan appreciation celebrations in association with the NFL Draft. The free events include concerts, appearances and autograph opportunities with current players, Legends, cheerleaders, and mascot, in addition to sponsor activations, a 5K Fun Run/Walk and community volunteerism activities. In addition to the Draft Day event presented by Miller Lite, the Dallas Cowboys encouraged fans to celebrate the 2023 NFL Draft all weekend long by participating in the Dallas Cowboys Draft Day 5K presented Baylor Scott & White Health.
