Star Survivors

In partnership with Susan G. Komen, the Dallas Cowboys host five breast cancer survivors (and Cowboys fans) at The Star who have gone above and beyond to give back to others throughout their fight. Together, the survivors are given a chance to relax and indulge in a one-of-a-kind Cowboys experience being pampered with surprises along the way. The 2025 season marked the 11th anniversary of the Star Survivors program.

Girls Flag Football

In 2022, the Dallas Cowboys partnered with the NFL, NFL FLAG, the NFL Foundation, and Nike to help launch one of Texas' first scholastically organized girls high school flag football leagues in Fort Worth ISD. Since then, the program has grown rapidly across the state, creating new opportunities for student-athletes to develop their skills, compete at a high level, and pursue future pathways in sport. Through expanded spring participation at more than 100 high schools, a season kickoff weekend with Nike, and a USA Football Talent ID camp, athletes are gaining exposure and advancing their game. In partnership with the Houston Texans, the Cowboys also helped host the inaugural Texas State Girls Flag Football Championship at the University of North Texas, highlighting the sport's rising talent and momentum. The long-term goal remains clear: establishing girls flag football as a UIL-sanctioned sport while continuing to elevate and empower the next generation of players.

Ladies First: Breaking Barriers

In celebration of Women's History Month, the Dallas Cowboys and Character Playbook, powered by EVERFI, hosted the sixth annual Ladies First: Breaking Barriers event at The Star in Frisco - an engaging, hybrid experience designed to inspire the next generation of female leaders in sports. The 2026 panel featured trailblazers including UT Arlington Head Women's Flag Football Coach Melinda Nguyen, USA Football's Angellica Grayson, and Cowboys photographer Callena Williams, with the conversation moderated by Nicole Hutchison. Middle school participants from Girls, Inc. Tarrant County attended in person, taking part in an interactive day that paired the live discussion with a flag football skills clinic and a guided journaling session—creating a dynamic environment centered on empowerment, confidence, and opportunity.

The team also is a community partner of The Gatehouse in Grapevine - a supportive living community on 61-acres where women and children can seek longer-term shelter (up to two and a half years) and paths for permanent change.
