Character Playbook

Community-Character-Education

In the fall of 2016, the Dallas Cowboys, along with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and United Way of Tarrant County, launched Character Playbook - an online course focused on helping students develop character and engage in healthy relationships. Powered by EverFi, the interactive program serves thousands of middle school students each year and is implemented in schools throughout the North Texas region. Since its inception, the team has digitally engaged with students across North Texas, as well as in person, with DFW classrooms through the Character Playbook LIVE effort – special online video chat sessions that allow Cowboys players to enter multiple classrooms at once to discuss the importance of character and healthy exchanges. In 2022 the program expanded to include mental health discussions through both hybrid virtual and in-person events at The Star in Frisco, local schools, and the National Medal of Honor Museum viewing center.
