What Thanksgiving Day, the two NFL franchises born right here in Dallas, Texas in 1960, meeting on this holiday, national television, a Chiefs team loaded with speed, and two of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott facing off, with both teams needing to win the game and the Preston Road Trophy.

Celebrating the Cowboys victory over the Eagles with the old Cowboys offensive line up and down when victory used to be secured back in the day, and this one because of an amazing 21-point comeback, thanks to the defense, Dak Prescott, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, despite  a missed punt deflection and fourth down gambles.

Then a look at where the Cowboys have emerged after the bye in the standings.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones promised trades, and trades he made, Cowboys acquiring just what the doctor ordered, a big, powerful defensive tackle in Quinnen Williams and linebacker Logan Wilson to shore up a run defense in need. The trades are for now and the future,. And a look at the NFC standings and where the Cowboys could fit in.

Almost ignoring the stinging loss to the Cardinals, the guys jumped right into trade talk, what the Cowboys already did and what they should do going forward, all prior to the Quinnen Williams trade going down. Then talk of the Cowboys faulty defense against the Cards, but emphasizing how the offense has been struggling.

So, there is a lot of talk today about if the Cowboys will or should make a trade by Tuesday's deadline and what position would be the priority to address, along with if trading for a rest of the season rental player or a guy to also help down the road.
