First a nod to the history of these two teams, Cowboys and Chiefs, the former Dallas Texans, and some Turkey talk before diving into the matchup with the Chiefs, knowing controlling Patrick Mahomes is a must. What Thanksgiving Day, the two NFL franchises born right here in Dallas, Texas in 1960, meeting on this holiday, national television, a Chiefs team loaded with speed, and two of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott facing off, with both teams needing to win the game and the Preston Road Trophy.

Then a look at where the Cowboys have emerged after the bye in the standings.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones promised trades, and trades he made, Cowboys acquiring just what the doctor ordered, a big, powerful defensive tackle in Quinnen Williams and linebacker Logan Wilson to shore up a run defense in need. The trades are for now and the future,. And a look at the NFC standings and where the Cowboys could fit in.

Almost ignoring the stinging loss to the Cardinals, the guys jumped right into trade talk, what the Cowboys already did and what they should do going forward, all prior to the Quinnen Williams trade going down. So, there is a lot of talk today about if the Cowboys will or should make a trade by Tuesday's deadline and what position would be the priority to address, along with if trading for a rest of the season rental player or a guy to also help down the road.
