Doug Free Feeling Good After Having Foot Surgery This Offseason

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Starting right tackle Doug Free had foot surgery after the 2015 season and head coach Jason Garrett said he should be fully healthy as the Cowboys move through the offseason.

Free, who has started all 16 games in six of the last seven years, also had surgery last offseason after missing five games with foot and ankle injuries during the 2014 season. He didn't miss a start in 2015.

Garrett said Free has been feeling good this offseason. The Cowboys' offseason program gets started in late April.

"We think he's going to be healthy as we go here," Garrett said. "He's been dealing with that foot for a little bit, but Doug's a tough guy and we feel like that's going to be behind him and he'll be ready to go.

"It's hard to get specific with that (timetables), but we don't anticipate him missing very much time."
