Practice Update: Dez Bryant Among Five Cowboys Absentees On Thursday
FRISCO, Texas – It might just be a coincidence, but it was interesting to see the Cowboys line up for practice without Dez Bryant on Thursday morning.
After all, Bryant practiced on Wednesday, and it was just 24 hours ago when the star wide receiver met with members of the media about several topics – including the fact that he’s been bothered by injuries for a portion of this season.
“I’ve been dealing with my tendonitis, and I’m shocked that none of you guys didn’t know anything about that,” Bryant said on Wednesday. “I have, I’ve been dealing with injuries.”
It’s currently unclear if Bryant’s absence on Thursday was related to that problem, but he was one of five Cowboys players to miss the second practice of Week 17. Tyron Smith was also absent, as he continues the battle the many injuries that have plagued him this season, and David Irving is still absent while he recovers from a concussion.
Elsewhere, La’el Collins and Anthony Hitchens returned to practice on Thursday. Both players were absent on Wednesday, but the Cowboys are hopeful they can battle through their injuries in time for the season finale.
As for Bryant, it’ll be interesting to see how he’s listed on Thursday’s practice report.Read
