2026 NFL Draft Wide Receiver Prospects

No position has been discussed more on the Dallas roster this offseason, and yet the group probably won’t see a lot of change in personnel. If that’s the case, it’s a good thing for the Cowboys, who entered free agency with George Pickens getting the much-expected franchise tag of $28 million for the 2026 season. The Cowboys and Pickens both prefer a long-term contract gets signed before the start of the season. That would give the dynamic 24-year-old receiver long-term financial stability past the 2026 campaign while also giving the Cowboys a chance to structure a contract that can spread out the cost and allow the team flexibility to sign others this offseason. Either way, Pickens is expected to be with Dallas, pairing up alongside CeeDee Lamb as arguably the best 1-2 punch at wideout in the league. And with the Cowboys also having KaVontae Turpin under contract as well as Ryan Flournoy, who seems eager for a breakout season, there shouldn’t be a huge need at receiver in the draft. Then again, the Cowboys will never turn their backs on acquiring playmakers, especially if a Pickens deal is not completed by the draft. In that scenario, they would have to at least address the position for depth, knowing there could be changes in the near future. – Nick Eatman
