FRISCO, Texas — The hustle and bustle of the 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the rearview and the Dallas Cowboys will welcome one of the highest-graded hauls to their headquarters at The Star in Frisco with first-round pick Tyler Booker and his nine rookie compatriots, and that means it's time for each to be assigned a shiny new NFL jersey number.
With rookie minicamp set to take place this weekend, each will be on the field donning their new digs, but there are still some being worked through as Tuesday comes to a close.
That said, three have been assigned their number, namely the first three picks.
- 52 - Tyler Booker (1st round/12th-overall)
- 41- Donovan Ezeiruaku (2nd round/44th-overall)
- 27 - Shavon Revel (3/76th-overall)

Booker takes ownership of a number that would love to see recent success raise it to prominence as it was once during the days of Dexter Coakley, and the same can be said of the one to be worn by Ezeiruaku, once made famous by none other than Terence Newman and, far before him, the dominance of Cowboys' legend Charlie Waters.
For Revel, it's about working to compete with the ghost of 2020, when Trevon Diggs wore the No. 27 as a rookie and fired out of the gate with three interceptions before changing his number to No. 7 ahead of his record-setting season in 2021.
As noted, other numbers will be revealed soon, including that of fifth-round pick Jaydon Blue, a former Texas standout coached by former Cowboys' running back Tashard Choice, the latter being rightfully proud of Blue creating what he feels is an instant "full circle" moment in Cowboys lore — though there is no promise Blue will wear Choice's former No. 23 jersey.
If history is any indication, and it often is, Blue could follow a similar path to that of Tony Pollard, seeing as he's being seen as Pollard's successor and, to that point, it's key to note Pollard began rookie training camp and preseason in the No. 36 jersey before moving to No. 20 for the regular season.
The same, or similar, will likely occur with Blue; so don't pencil him into anything quite yet.
Stay tuned for the remaining updates on what numbers the incoming class of Cowboys' rookies will wear to begin their career, and what legacy might be attached to them.
