A Little Moss On Every Roof

opportunity we don't always get: Reading the local papers in some other locale.

It took reading the Milwaukee paper Monday morning to realize that the Packers have the worst players, the dumbest coach, and yes, the most overrated quarterback in the NFL; that the Packers have the coaching staff most in need of wholesale changes.

Gee, I thought we had a corner on those markets.

This is not to minimize the changes the Cowboys have to make in the offseason. They are many and the sooner the better. But as mad as you may be at Bill Parcells, that's how Packers fan feel about Mike Sherman. As tired as you are of watching a matador defense, that's how they feel in Green Bay (and Milwaukee and Sheboygan and Oshkosh). But we don't care about them. We care about our ox being gored.

Be of good cheer, though. Believe it or not, the Cowboys do have several pieces of the puzzle in place. They have a head coach and an owner/general manager absolutely consumed with turning things around, and in the NFL these days, that's just not that difficult.

It only takes a decent imagination to picture the 8-8 Rams hosting the 8-8 Vikings in the NFC Championship game a week from Sunday. Anything's possible.

And we don't have to defend the antics of the ugliness that is Randy Moss.
