"I think just the nature, it would be a luxury to strategically . . . strategically to include him into your personnel just because of not having the deal," Jerry Jones said last week. "There are a lot of ifs here, so as you make decisions based on that, that might be very risky under the circumstances and you got to factor that in."
Proceeds from the annual party, which included several current and former Cowboys players, benefit the North Texas Food Bank. Last year's event provided more than 500,000 meals for hungry North Texans, and this year's event raised more than $125,000, which will provide more than half a million meals (625,000).
