ARLINGTON, Texas – What a comeback for the Cowboys, who rallied from 21 points down, tying the biggest come-from-behind victory in team history.
There were so many memorable plays, but what about the ones that might go unnoticed? Here are a handful that might be forgotten but likely changed the course of Sunday's game.
Turpin catch before halftime – After losing a fumble early in the game as a running back, KaVontae Turpin did what he does best, make plays in the open field. Turpin caught a pass over the middle and turned it into a 48-yard gain inside the Eagles' red zone. That play set up the Cowboys' first touchdown, cutting the lead to 21-7 at halftime.
Penalty wipes out Goedert catch – On the Eagles' first drive of the second half, Dallas Goedert caught a 20-yard pass into Dallas territory, but it was wiped out due to a penalty. The Eagles couldn't convert on that drive and had to punt it back to Dallas. Just getting that stop was huge because it kept the momentum on the side of the Cowboys, who shut out the Eagles in the second half.
P.I. drive: two calls on Eagles DBs – Pinned back inside their own 15-yard line, the Cowboys trailed 21-7 but got things going on a second-down pass to Turpin, which was incomplete. But a pass interference penalty extended the drive. Then, after an incredible catch by CeeDee Lamb, he was later interfered with at the 5-yard line on second down that gave Dallas a first-and-goal. Moments later, the Cowboys scored on a pass to Brevyn Spann-Ford to cut the lead in half.
Williams forced fumble – With the game tied, 21-21, the Eagles were driving for a field goal or possibly a touchdown when Sam Williams caught Saquon Barkley from behind and forced a fumble, which was recovered by Kenneth Murray. That play stopped the drive and put the Cowboys in the driver's seat to win.
Odighizuwa sack on third down – The game was hanging in the balance on third-and-2 at the 2:00 warning, but Osa Odighizuwa sacked Jalen Hurts, giving the ball back to the Cowboys. From there, Jake Ferguson and George Pickens had big catches to lead the offense down for Brandon Aubrey's game-winner.
