FRISCO, TEXAS – The Dallas Cowboys will kick off the return of football and celebrate the NFL's 100th season with the Mayor's Hometown Huddle presented by UnitedHealthcare on Saturday, Sept. 7.

This citywide day of service is dedicated to making the two cities that the Dallas Cowboys call home better places to live, work and play. Various projects hosted by the City of Frisco and the City of Arlington will give residents the chance to make a difference in the community as part of Cowboys Huddle for 100 – a nationwide volunteerism campaign.

"Philanthropy and volunteerism is so special to us and to our alumni and to our Cheerleaders and to our fans," said Charlotte Jones Anderson, Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President & Chief Brand Officer, at Friday's press conference announcing the initiative. "We have a goal every year to win the Super Bowl, but our purpose is much greater than that – and that's to give an impact on the community."

The city projects will be joined by employees from UnitedHealthcare, members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Dallas Cowboys Alumni.

To sign up to participate in one of the Mayor's Hometown Huddle projects, visit the city links on www.dallascowboys.com/huddle.

The distinguished and decorated group of Cowboys alumni who are joining the Mayor's Hometown Huddle includes Darren Woodson, Drew Pearson, Everson Walls, Chad Hennings, Dixon Edwards, Charles Haley, Charlie Williams, Dat Nguyen, Dexter Coakley, Jay Novacek and Akin Ayodele. Together, they have combined for a total of 20 Super Bowl championships, 22 Pro Bowl appearances, three Cowboys Ring of Honor selections and one Hall of Fame induction.

To commemorate the National Football League's 100th Anniversary celebration (NFL100), the NFL is rallying fans to give 100 million minutes of service to impactful causes in their hometown communities.

Huddle for 100 launched nationally at the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, Tenn., and will conclude at Super Bowl LIV in Miami. Fans, players, alumni, teams and employees are encouraged to volunteer 100 minutes of their time to make meaningful contributions to their communities over the 11-month campaign.

Throughout the _Huddle for 100 _initiative, the League will give participating fans the chance to win a variety of prizes, including game tickets, team gear or a monetary donation to a charity they select when they track their participation on the Huddle for 100 website.

Fans can also share their volunteer efforts on social media using both the #NFLHuddleFor100 and #Sweepstakes hashtags.
