IRVING, Texas --The American Century Championship celebrity tournament at Lake Tahoe usually marks the end of Tony Romo's golf time each year.
Romo will be back for his sixth appearance on July 20-22, and this year he'll be joined by first-time attendees Jason Witten and Miles Austin.
Romo (5/2) is the early betting favorite at the legal Nevada Sportsbooks to win the $600,000, 54-hole competition at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. The tournament raises money for its official charity, LIVESTRONG. Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith are among the 80 sports and entertainment stars scheduled to attend.
Romo, who welcomed a first child with his wife Candice this offseason, did not make his usual attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open.
