Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Bring Fitness Boot Camp To Local School

COPPELL, Texas —The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders hosted a fitness boot camp for students at Denton Creek Elementary School in Coppell, Texas on Friday, with the help of their own fitness trainer Jay Johnson.

Each grade of students – kindergarten through fifth – received an entire hour of instruction from America's Sweethearts, with each session including a warm-up, several rotations of exercise drills, relay races and a special Q&A session. Students heard from the cheerleaders on the hard work and dedication it took to make their elite squad, particularly the importance of good nutrition and fitness training.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders organization is completely subsidized by the Dallas Cowboys Football Club for the primary purpose of spreading goodwill on a local, national and international platform. Their fitness boot camp at Denton Creek Elementary is one of many community outreach efforts the cheerleaders make year-round.
