FRISCO, Texas – After days of teases, rumors, and some announcements sprinkled in, the full **2025 Cowboys schedule** for the preseason and regular season has finally been released by the NFL.
There is no ramp up week for Brian Schottenheimer in his first year as the Cowboys' head coach, as Dallas is set to open the season on the road against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 4 in the first game of the NFL season kicking off at 7:20 P.M. CDT.
The Cowboys' annual Thanksgiving matchup features the Kansas City Chiefs, who have won three out of the last six Super Bowls led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The last time Dallas hosted Kansas City on Thanksgiving was 1995, the year they won their last Super Bowl.
And not only are the Cowboys playing the Eagles and Chiefs on Thursday, but also the Lions and Commanders on Christmas Day, giving them four Thursday games this season.
First up, the Cowboys' preseason slate is as follows with home games in bold:
- Preseason Week 1: Sat. 8/9, 6:00 P.M. CT, @ Los Angeles Rams - CBS 11
- Preseason Week 2: Sat. 8/16, 6:00 P.M. CT, vs. Baltimore Ravens - CBS 11
- Preseason Week 3: Fri. 8/22, 7:00 P.M. CT, Atlanta Falcons - CBS 11
Here is who and where the Cowboys will play in the 2025 regular season.
Week 1: Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles, Thurs. 9/4, 7:20 p.m., NBC
Dallas kicks off the NFL season on the road against the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles. The last time the Cowboys opened the year against the Super Bowl winner was 2021 against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a game they lost on a last second field goal, but a game where Dak Prescott threw for 403 yards and three touchdowns in his first game back from a season-ending ankle injury the year prior.
Week 2: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants, Sun. 9/14, 12:00 p.m., FOX
It's back-to-back NFC East opponents to start the year for the Cowboys, as they welcome the Giants for the home opener at AT&T Stadium. Dallas has won the last eight games against the Giants, dating back to January of 2021.
Week 3: Dallas Cowboys @ Chicago Bears, Sun. 9/21, 3:25 p.m., FOX
Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus makes his return to Chicago for the first time after his three year head coaching tenure with the Bears. It's the first time the two teams have met since 2022, where the Cowboys won 49-29 at home.
Week 4: Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers, Sun. 9/28, 7:20 p.m., NBC
The Packers head to Dallas early in the season for the first time since their shocking upset victory over the Cowboys in the wildcard round of the 2023 season. Green Bay is a perfect 6-0 at AT&T Stadium, and the Cowboys have a chance to end their undefeated streak on their home turf.
Week 5: Dallas Cowboys at New York Jets, Sun. 10/5, 12:00 p.m., FOX
Only three times in the last ten years have the Cowboys and Jets faced off in the regular season, with the Cowboys winning their last meeting 30-10 in 2022. It'll be the first time the Cowboys head to MetLife Stadium for a game against the Jets since 2019.
Week 6: Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers, Sun. 10/12, 12:00 p.m., FOX
2025 marks the third year in a row that Dallas is heading to Charlotte for a battle against the Panthers. They've scored at least 30 points in the last two meetings at Carolina and have won those games by a combined 66-24 margin.
Week 7: Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders, Sun. 10/19, 3:25 p.m., FOX
By Week 7, the Cowboys will have played all three of their division opponents once after it took until Week 12 last season to cross that threshold. Dallas was able to limit Jayden Daniels in the first two meetings against the Offensive Rookie of the Year last season and will look to do the same in 2025.
Week 8: Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos, Sun. 10/26, 3:25 p.m., FOX
For the first time in eight years, the Cowboys will head to Mile High and play the Broncos in Denver. They'll be looking for their first win over Denver since 1995, as the Dallas has lost the last seven meetings against the Broncos.
Week 9: Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals, Mon. 11/3, 7:15 p.m., ESPN/ABC
Three of the Cowboys' first nine games of the season will be primetime games, with their first Monday Night Football matchup coming against the Cardinals at the start of November. The Cowboys have played the Cardinals in three of the last four seasons, and are seeking their first win over Arizona since 2017.
Week 10: BYE Week
The Cowboys take their bye week in Week 10 after back-to-back seasons of it being in Week 7.
Week 11: Dallas Cowboys at Las Vegas Raiders, Mon. 11/17, 7:15 p.m., ESPN/ABC
For the first time ever, the Cowboys will play a regular-season game in Las Vegas after the Raiders relocated from Oakland. It'll be the first meeting between the two teams since 2021 and the first road game for Dallas against the Raiders since 2017. The Cowboys did face Las Vegas in the 2024 preseason and kicker Brandon Aubrey made a 66-yard field goal, which would've tied the NFL record for longest kick, had it been in a regular-season game.
Week 12: Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles, Sun. 11/23, 3:25 p.m., FOX
After losing to the Eagles by a combined 75-13 last season, the Cowboys will look to turn that around in both of their meetings against their NFC East rival. Dak Prescott has had a lot of success against the Eagles as Dallas' quarterback, with a 9-4 career record against them. That said, Prescott and Eagles QB Jalen Hurts have only faced off three times in their careers.
Week 13: Dallas Cowboys vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Thurs. 11/27, 3:30 p.m., CBS
In their annual Thanksgiving game, the Cowboys will play host to the Kansas City Chiefs. Could history repeat itself for Dallas? The last time the Cowboys and Chiefs played on Thanksgiving, Dallas went on to win the Super Bowl in 1995.
Week 14: Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions, Thurs. 12/4, 7:15 p.m., Prime Video
No mini bye coming off of Thanksgiving for the Cowboys, as they'll go on the road to Detroit seven days later. 2025 will be the fourth straight year the Lions and Cowboys have played one another, but it'll be the first time since 2019 that Dallas will play at Ford Field in Detroit.
Week 15: Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings, Sun. 12/14, 7:20 p.m., NBC
A 10-day break separates two straight primetime games for the Cowboys down the stretch, as they face two straight NFC North opponents who both made the playoffs last year with Minnesota closing it out. Dallas has won the last three matchups against the Vikings, and will play host to them for the first time since 2019.
Week 16: Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Chargers, Sun. 12/21, 12:00 p.m., FOX
After facing off in the preseason last year, the Chargers head to Dallas for a regular season game for the first time since 2019. The Cowboys have won the last two meetings against the Chargers, both with the same 20-17 score.
Week 17: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders, Thurs. 12/25, 12:00 p.m., Netflix
For the first time since 2010 and sixth time in the franchise's history, the Cowboys will play on Christmas, hitting the road to play the Washington Commanders. Last season's road trip to play the Commanders resulted in one of the most thrilling wins of the season for Dallas in a back and forth 34-26 win with two special teams touchdowns including a thrilling 99-yard kickoff return from KaVontae Turpin.
Week 18: Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants, Sat./Sun. 1/3 or 1/4, TBD
The date and kickoff time for the Cowboys' season finale will be released later on, but they'll finish the year off with a chance to extend their winning streak over the Giants to 10 straight games if they win their earlier matchup during Week 2.
