Garrett Wishes New Seahawk Terrell Owens The Best

OXNARD, Calif. –After the Cowboys cut ties with Terrell Owens in 2009, the wide receiver blamed the move, in large part, on then-offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

A lot has changed since then. Owens has played for two NFL teams and one in the IFL, and Garrett has been promoted to Cowboys head coach. While Owens has shown signs that he holds a grudge over the last three and a half years, Garrett has continued to say all the right things about his former star, who set a team record for touchdown receptions in Garrett's first season calling plays.

Now that Owens has landed on his feet with the Seattle Seahawks, Garrett is still taking the high road.

"I wish him well," Garrett said Tuesday. "Terrell's a great football player. He's going to go down as one of the all-time greats to ever play his position, and he has a passion for playing. We know that because we were around him, how he practiced and how he played.

"We wish him nothing but the best. He'll help their football team."
