Good Morning From Carpenter

What's The Scoop:
It's only eight days into training camp here in Oxnard, Calif., but Bobby Carpenter has already bounced around from weak inside linebacker, to strong inside linebacker, to even a taste of outside linebacker again. But with Justin Rogers' injury earlier this week, Carpenter filled a need at an inside linebacker spot that he believes is his natural position.

You Should've Seen:
Wide receiver Isaiah Stanback rebounded from a shaky practice Friday to produce one the most impressive catches of camp in Saturday morning's 11-on-11 red zone drills. The second-year wideout ran a short post route and right as he came out of his break on the goal line the ball was on him, forcing him to reach back with one arm to make the catch behind cornerback Anthony Henry for a touchdown.

Who's Hot:
Evan Oglesby. The competition for the final cornerback spot may not be much of a competition anymore if the third-year cornerback keeps playing the way he has. Oglesby intercepted Tony Romo on just the second play of a two minute drill in Friday's afternoon practice and broke up a deep ball from Brad Johnson intended for Miles Austin in Saturday's morning practice. With injuries to Terence Newman and Alan Ball, Oglesby has been working in the slot on the first nickel of late.

Who's Not:
Mike Jenkins. The rookie cornerback seems to have hit a rough patch after getting beat by Patrick Crayton for a touchdown in Saturday morning's 11-on-11 drill. Later in that same workout, Jenkins was flagged for a defensive pass interference penalty when covering Terrell Owens, who, unable to catch the pass, instead caught the flying flag of the NFL official working the practice.

Wade's Best:
"Yeah, I have a sore back too."- * When asked if outside linebacker Greg Ellis' back injury was related to old age.*
